SCYA and UNAS help abused and neglected children in an Art Competition this 6th Nov!

Dear Friends,

SCYA is helping out with a children’s Art Competition event organised by United Nations Associations of Singapore for children at Sunbeam Place, part of the Children’s Society. Sunbeam Place is gazetted as a Place of Safety for abused and neglected children in need of protection or whose parents are unable to provide proper care. At Sunbeam Place, a caring and loving environment is provided for children aged between 2 to 18 years old. At the Home, they conduct enrichment classes, character-building education and counseling for the children. More information here:

This is a great opportunity for SCYA members to volunteer for a good cause and especially to work with these wonderful children. We are definitely honoured to be part of this effort and will be presenting a mix of photographs taken from the event to present to Sunbeam Place and the children as a memoir.

Keep a look-out for our documentation photographs and blog write-ups of this event on the 6th of November, Saturday, 10am – 5pm!
