“Express Yourself Freely” – Back to Nostalgia, an art exhibition by SCYA and LEFTFOOT, supported by SingTel

Singapore Contemporary Young Artists (SCYA) is collaborating with local sneaker store LEFTFOOT for an exhibition themed ‘Back To Nostalgia’.

Singapore Contemporary Young Artists have chosen to represent an insight into nostalgia with a collage of past, present and future concepts. The artists will be presenting their works conveying their appreciation to the given theme.

The synergy to work with LEFTFOOT is the similarity in conveying a freedom of expression in what youths of today look up to in Fashion, Design and in Art.

Having artists work with a local, trendy and youthful sneaker company, which could well integrate into the trends, aesthetics and appeal of young artist today. Back To Nostalgia, an exhibition organized by the Singapore Contemporary Young Artists, will be showcasing a selection of 5 young artist works in a form of painting and installation pieces.

This exhibition is advocated by SingTel, in view of their keen support of Youths in the Arts fraternity and also in line with their mantra of encouraging Youths to “Express Yourself Freely”

Exhibition opens on 26th November, 12pm for public viewing and 7pm for invited guests from LEFTFOOT, SCYA and SingTel.

Singapore Contemporary Young Artists Project (SCYA) is a non-profit Art Society that highlights Contemporary Art by Young Artists in Singapore through several platforms in exhibitions, websites, talks, workshops & commissioned services. SCYA was initiated by Jacquelyn Soo who is an artist, curator and director for SCYA. SCYA has over 10 members in the society contributing ideas, activities to support the organisation.
