Playing With & For The Community

Dialogue with Jacklyn Soo – Actually Magazine Interview

Read about my interview on forming SCYA and why I do what I do at, courtesy of a lovely interview by Gracia Ventus from Actually Magazine:

ACTUALLY MAG is a fashion and lifestyle driven online magazine hence focusing on primary elements of designs and lifestyle. Amidst the hustle and bustle that comes with our reality, we hope to build a community of adventurous readers who are not afraid to procure the luxury of worldly artistic indulgences ; introducing an extensive trove of rare venues, art, fashion, merchandise, music, movies, and gourmet. The magazine is a purveyor of all things rare and superlative; providing unexpected offerings for the talent-hungry and curious.

As much as we love to proclaim our insatiable passion for fashion, lifestyle and design loudly with ear-deafening capitals; Actually Magazine would also like to partake in raising awareness towards lamentable social issues and to translate airwaves of love to communities undergoing martyrdom– physical abusement, sexual violence, identity struggles, prejudice and many more.

Like rough diamonds in the making, victims emerge from harsh tribulations stronger. Through literary and artistry, we acknowledge the existence of these underwhelmed issues. As victims relate their experiences, Actually Magazine takes on the role as an advocacy, sharing their immense emotional burden; enabling them to seek solace and for us to tell them this: “YOU ARE LOVE.”
