Playing With & For The Community

The 16th Space International Print Biennale Application is Open

The 16th Space International Print Biennale, which began in 1980 under the theme of ‘Small is beautiful’, will be held in 2011. This unique event, aimed at discovering promising print artists from around the world, seeks to pursue cultural potential for the art of print to be integrated more easily into people’s daily lives through the aesthetic exploration of print. The biennale has earned its reputation as an internationally acclaimed print event by expanding the scope of the works qualified to be submitted for the competition, considerably increasing the allotted prize money and actively promoting the event internationally.

The 16th Space International Print Biennale will be held in June, 2011. It will be an important occasion to showcase some of the greatest works by print artists from around the world, many of whom continue their efforts to produce classical and traditional print works despite the rapid changing of reproduction and media technology. And the winning works will be exhibited in OCI Museum of Art.

The Space International Print Biennale will continue to strive to explore both the aesthetic identity and cultural potential of print art, which has been losing its popularity over the past several years and actively promote international exchanges among print artists from around the world.
