Playing With & For The Community
On the 10th August 2014, SCYA was at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall conducting a puppet workshop!
SCYA facilitated a creative collaboration between adults and children, stimulating their collective imaginations by making puppets from simple craft materials. These creations are used to create fun characters and engaging stories.
We started off telling a story about why the dog doesn’t like the cat (fictional).
And so… we learn to colour!
After some explanations, everyone is so excited to start!
Happy colouring time~
Family bonding time!
After some colouring and pasting… Yes we’re done!!
Everyone is really happy and satisfied with their puppets!
It was such a waste that we ran out of time to hold a mini puppet show by the participants ;(..
All in all, it was a really fun and engaging workshop where everyone had loads of fun! We hope that workshop will inspire participants to find ways of ‘learning through play’ and bond with one another in the process. ^^
