Student Art Competition – Art Stage Singapore 2015


Hey All!

The Student Art Competition (SAC), organised by Art Stage Singapore, is looking for participants! SAC will be held in conjunction with Art Stage Singapore 2015.

Theme: “We are Asia. We are Singapore. We are Home.”
Location: Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre
Date: 22 to 25 January 2015.

Selected participants of the competition will receive prizes and the unique opportunity of exhibiting their works at an international art fair.

Submission Datelines:

– Round 1: Digital submission by 21 November 2014 to info@artstagesingapore.com with the subject heading “Student Art Competition 2015”

– Round 2: Shortlisted participants must submit the physical work from 4 Dec – 5 Dec 2014 at a venue (TBC).

**Note: Each entry must be endorsed and supported by the applicant’s school art teacher or art head-of-department (HOD).

** Only ONE work per participant.

Eligibility:

– All Singapore and Singapore-based school students majoring or specialising in Visual Art, Fine Art, or any art-related subjects

– Students from international schools residing in Singapore for at least two years.

Categories:

Category A: Students taking art or art-related (e.g. Architecture, Photography, Design) subjects for the #GCE N, O and A Level, *IP, *IB or other Pre-university programmes

Category B: Students taking art or art-related (e.g. Architecture, Photography, Design) subjects for their Diploma and Degree programmes

Singapore Contemporary Young Artists Project (SCYA) is a non-profit Art Society that highlights Contemporary Art by Young Artists in Singapore through several platforms in exhibitions, websites, talks, workshops & commissioned services. SCYA was initiated by Jacquelyn Soo who is an artist, curator and director for SCYA. SCYA has over 10 members in the society contributing ideas, activities to support the organisation. SCYA represents up to 70 Singaporean/PR Artists in their works. SCYA launched their first project in Nov 2008 with a website collaboration with FIVEFOOTWAY that featured 23 Contemporary Young Artists Portfolios on an interactive website.
