PARK(ing) Day, in it’s third year running here, sees Billy and a couple of friends makeover a couple of old donated pianos to be placed at the Aliwal Arts Centre courtyard, next to the parking lot what we have Choped. Come and unleash your fingers and play like no one’s watching.

Date: 18 Sept to 20 Sept 2015
Time: 12:00pm to 10:00pm
Venue: Aliwal Arts Centre, Courtyard
28 Aliwal Street, Singapore 199918

Meanwhile some pictures of the work in progress carried out at ART SOCIAL HAUS.

Can you spot the pianos in Art Social Haus?

Engraved front cover on the old Kawai upright

Puffing the felts on the piano hammers on the Kawai upright action. Being a piano aficionado, Billy fiddles on the mechanical bits in an attempt to make the tone gentler and less harsh on an old piano.

Closeup on puffing and shaping the hammer felts for the other piano action. Not the perfect tools for it but it still does the job.

I am only a piano.
