According to a quote from Chinese astrology, the year of the Monkey is particularly an auspicious time for new inventions, for taking risks and being rebellious, a year where agile, inventive minds, sheer guts and bravado will win out.
These young children from Northland Primary certainly enjoyed the presence of the Monkey and chinese paper cuts/fold that was taught to them by Jacquelyn and Jaxton. Just like the mischievous and clever monkey, these children were quick to pick up the skills taught to them and drew mischievous looking monkeys to display in the galleries of the school.
We had a lot of fun this afternoon interacting with the students and creating paper monkeys out of coloured papers. Have a look at our class and their works!
