SCYA welcomes Stephanie Pourchet!

For the end of Feb till early April, Stephanie Pourchet will be interning with SCYA in our studio here at Goodman Art Centre!

Stephanie is a student at Goethe Universität, Frankfurt, Germany taking an M.A. in History of Art as a major and History and Romance Studies as a minor.

Born in Paris, France, Stephanie has travelled to many parts in Europe and Asia: Hong Kong, Bangkok & now Singapore. She enjoys the sunny weather in Asia and warm friendly people.

Stephanie enjoys music & loves to immerse herself in cultures. She is also trying to pick up mandarin while she is in Singapore so do give her some pointers when you see here in SCYA/GAC or just about any Art Events around!

Singapore Contemporary Young Artists Project (SCYA) is a non-profit Art Society that highlights Contemporary Art by Young Artists in Singapore through several platforms in exhibitions, websites, talks, workshops & commissioned services. SCYA was initiated by Jacquelyn Soo who is an artist, curator and director for SCYA. SCYA has over 10 members in the society contributing ideas, activities to support the organisation. SCYA represents up to 70 Singaporean/PR Artists in their works. SCYA launched their first project in Nov 2008 with a website collaboration with FIVEFOOTWAY that featured 23 Contemporary Young Artists Portfolios on an interactive website.
